I've written thirty offers in a single day, dealt with squatters, raised three kids as a single mother, and rebuilt my entire career from scratch—twice. None of it was in the plan. All of it made me exactly who my clients need.

The idea to become a REALTOR® came when everything felt uncertain, yet full of possibility. It wasn’t a dream or a plan I’d mapped out in college. In fact, it was a friend who first suggested it, insisting I’d be great at it because of my love for people and my servant’s heart. At first, I brushed it off, but the idea stayed with me, quietly growing.

My journey to real estate began when my husband, David, and I moved from Dallas, TX. to Georgia, which eventually became home. We bought our first house here, then a bigger one as our family grew with our three kids: Amber, Johnathon and Daniel. My days were filled with the chaos and joy of raising children and teaching fitness classes. Life felt settled, even predictable, until it wasn’t.
One of the biggest challenges of my life shattered everything I knew. David, my husband, unexpectedly passed away. I became a single mom to three kids—Amber was sixteen, Johnathon thirteen, and Daniel just nine. The grief was overwhelming, but I knew I had to keep going, not just for myself but for my children. I went back to school to finish my degree, kept up my work as a personal trainer, and tried to hold our world together.

David’s passing forced me to mature quickly. My sense of responsibility to provide for my children deepened, and I realized how fragile life can be, which gave me a new perspective. I’m deeply grateful to the people who stood by my side during those difficult years.
It was during that season of rebuilding that real estate found me. I got my license in 2017, driven by the flexibility and the opportunity to serve people during one of the biggest transactions of their lives.

I didn’t begin my real estate career as a traditional Realtor. I worked mostly with investors, selling vacant homes all over Georgia. I learned contracts inside and out, often writing thirty offers a day, and navigated everything from squatters to last-minute deals. It was wild, sometimes lonely work, but it allowed me to be present for my kids.
As my children grew older and more independent, I realized I wanted deeper connections in my work. I did a lot of soul-searching to figure out who I truly was. I discovered that I’m both a nurturer and a leader – and certainly, someone who genuinely loves helping others.
With that clarity, I transitioned into traditional real estate and built my business from the ground up. It was daunting—starting over, learning new skills, and putting myself out there in a whole new way—but I was determined. My goal was to serve others with the same kindness I had received during the hardest seasons of my life. I’m grateful I made the shift because it’s allowed me to form deep relationships with my clients.

Outside of work, I find peace in movement and nature. Yoga and working out have always been anchors for me. I also love hiking Georgia’s beautiful trails and getting to the beach every year (my unquestionable, happy place). I recently made the choice to go on a yearly mission trip which has been life changing. I love learning and am always looking to grow—with health and nutrition, about myself, and about the world. Books, especially those focused on vulnerability and personal growth, fill my shelves. I’m also rediscovering my love for fiction.
Looking back, my journey has been shaped by unexpected turns and an unwavering love for my family. I’ve learned that life is short and precious, that challenges can reveal strengths you never knew you had, and that healing often comes through serving others. Georgia is home now, and I’m grateful for every step that brought me here.
I’m genuinely invested in my clients as people, not just as transactions. I truly care about their needs and listen to what they want, treating them like family rather than just another number or commission. My confidence comes from my knowledge and ongoing education; I make sure I’m always up to date, and if I don’t know something, I’ll find the answer. I’ve built strong relationships with my clients, and many have become friends; we keep in touch, celebrate milestones, and support each other beyond the closing table.
Another thing that sets me apart is the support system I bring. It’s not just me—my clients get the benefit of a whole team, including my brokerage, other agents, and marketing support, all working together to make the process smoother and more successful. I believe having a team behind you gives a real advantage, and I’m always there to advocate for my clients. Ultimately, my driving force is connection and service, not just the financial side of the business.
Sincerely,

Michelle Young
